On private tours, you decide what to visit, how and when.

All options are welcome, even those offered as individual routes, if you want them just for yourselves. Want to discover with me UNESCO’s World Heritage Segovia, the valleys of the rivers Eresma and Clamores? Want me to accompany you to visit the Cathedral and the Alcázar? Who am I?

Hello, I’m Sonia, official guide in Segovia since 2016. My interest in this work began with my degree in Art History in 2009. Years later, I studied the Tour Guiding, Information and Assistance cycle. It was during my internship at the Alcázar that I discovered I could share my passion and knowledge through guided tours. The following year I created my brand: Castellum.

Over the years I have broadened my training with courses, seminars, and exhibitions to continue learning and updating my knowledge, since history and heritage are not static and there is always something new to discover.

My values

Interdisciplinary cooperation

I collaborate with different experts in disciplines such as anthropology, history, and archaeology, to create monographic and thematic tours. Having a comprehensive vision always enriches the experience and perspective we have of heritage.

Local commerce

Being part of a community and society requires commitment, to live together in a way that benefits everyone. I’ll recommend local shops and restaurants, which helps boost the economy, contribute to sustainable tourism, and turn your visit into a more personal experience. Don’t hesitate to ask me.

Gender perspective

Like other women in the sector, I want to include historical female figures in my tours. Giving voice to women who deserve it—whether they were in positions of power or walked through history anonymously—is essential to understanding where we come from.

Petfriendly

For many of us, pets are family members, so whenever possible I’ll try to include them in the tours. You can ask me for information about which places in the city allow pets.

Respect and quality

In every one of my tours, I put all my energy and knowledge so each person can enjoy their experience. Pre‑tour communication—if there’s any special request or need—forms the basis to guarantee the highest quality. Respect for all participants, regardless of origin, ethnicity, religion, or sexual identity is one of my core principles.

Environmentalism

Awareness of our impact on the environment is also a crucial part of Castellum’s values. We always try to reuse provided materials (sanitized when needed) to reduce single‑use plastics. Additionally, to coexist well with citizens and neighbors, we avoid overcrowding and encourage sustainable tourism through small groups.
